Here you will find beautiful superior New Zealand Saffron grown in Taranaki.

Saffron is a highly prized spice that has been used since the beginning of time for its colour, flavour and medicinal properties.  It is the dried stigma from the flower of the Crocus Sativus plant.  The flower is hand picked and the stigma is removed for drying.   It takes approximately 150 flowers to produce 1 gram of saffron.
